Definition of terms

Hybrid cloud strategy
This describes a solution that combines a private cloud with one or more public clouds (see definition of “private and public cloud”). Here, some of the IT services are obtained from shared resources and some are acquired from resources that are often internal or explicitly reserved for a company. The hybrid cloud offers a comparably high level of flexibility and the often lower costs of a public cloud, but also meets the increased security and data protection requirements within organisations.
